The place chosen to develop this program is Sidney. Because Sydney is a consistently high-ranking city for quality of world life and cosmopolitan city of beautiful beaches. Sydney is the largest and oldest city in Australia, on the banks of the wide Bay of Jackson.
The people of Sydney are called Sydneysiders. About 70% of them born in Australia, but most have British ancestors. Hundreds of thousands of Europeans, especially from Italy and Greece, and more recently many Asians have settled in Sydney. The most common countries of origin are China, India, Italy, Lebanon, New Zealand, UK, and Vietnam.
The mild climate of the city can enjoy the outdoors. The Beaches of Sydney are very famous. The most popular are Bondi and Manly although there are more than 50 others are visited; attract thousands of swimmers, surfers and sun worshipers, the navigation is also very popular
The program is an exclusive program of total inmesion Blue Kangaroo develops . It is designed for young people between 14 and 17 years old. It´s a total immersion in the language and Australian culture as the participant lives with a host family that is willing to do an ambassador of their culture and it expects the student to become a member during the stay. Contact with other international participants from the same community will be zero or very sporadic. We therefore recommend that the level of English is intermediate or high and that the participant has had previous experience abroad . In the family will always be at least a teenager of the same age or three years older or younger than the participant and also it will commit to give the participant the opportunity to join his group of friends , presenting the least three of them .
In addition to daily living, family undertakes to make two half-day excursions and one full day per week with the student. Corresponding to one of the two summer programs available academic & Total Immersion , the student will choose, for four weeks.
In turn, this program combines evently classes and educational activities, apart of stay with the host family , the student will attend to; Monday through Friday , from 9 to 12 hours, at the University of Sydney.
The program will start the firt week of July, will end on August¨s first week.
